Moonlights Walking

Written and read by Icarus

Listen : mp3 ogg

Gentle greens envelop
Entwine and riot run
Leaves that move
Now dark now light
A sigh of whispered spider's web
With drops of silver hung
The prize of moonlight's weeping
Heavy with her light
Falling now to kiss the earth
Returns to womb that gave us birth
Majestic in the night

Silent now she's walking
She's moving through the trees
The leaves whisper her passing
And call her symphony
Her eyes are beads of silver
Her skin is spider's silk
Her voice sings in branch and bough
Called me here possessed me now
Caressed my lips and kissed my brow
Embraced me in the night

Now ever will I wander
In glades of silver green
Each night her call i'll answer
My voice her song will sing
And when i'm old and weary
When i have served her long
She'll lay me down to rest
In gentle greens amoung
