Fortuna

Name: Fortuna

Lives:  Wonderful, alternative Totnes in Devon.  Home of the Transition Town Movement and New Age haven.  It is a bit like Galstonbury, but more arty and with far fewer crystals.

Interest in Paganism/Witchcraft:  Looking back I can see that I had an interest in things I would later come to think of as Pagan from a very early age.  I formally identified myself as Pagan in about 1989 spending quite a few years working out what I believe.  I eventually concluded that I believed very little.  I consider myself to be a "minimalist" Pagan, not believing in deity or taking part in ritual, but keeping things simple.  I express my Paganism through observing and enjoying nature with all her wonderful cycles and could sit for hours in a wood or by the sea.  I also like to express myself in arty ways such as through my work as a maker of glass beads.  Music is also very important to me and I play a number of traditional instruments (flute, northumbrian pipes, whistles, hammered dulcimer).  I practice divination which, for me, is a way of altering my mind to reveal hidden patterns in the past and present rather than reading the future.
